Christmas in July


Yes, we know it’s a little early to be thinking Christmas, but in the publishing and media world, planning what’s hot for the holidays is happening now.


Last week we showcased MIYU Beauty as part of the #Home4theHolidays preview at the SOHO Metropolitan Hotel Toronto. The event was hosted by Brill Communications and featured more than a dozen brands, including Rimowa, Tristan, and Papyrus, to name a few  – giving media, bloggers and tastemakers a first look at their 2014 holiday collections.


Nicole and I couldn’t resist taking a selfie before the event – good thing we did though, since it was the only break we got all day! The turnout was amazing!


As a fairly new brand, the event gave us the opportunity to introduce our “beauty from within” (matching what you do on the inside with what you do on the outside) concept to Toronto press. We served our hydrate mi and de-stress mi beauty teas hot and iced. We were pleased to hear they were a huge hit!



We also gave people the chance to try our MIYU beauty essences. They too worked their magic on everyone who dropped by!


For every person who attended the holiday preview, Brill Communications donated 2 meals to the Yonge Street Mission – And according to Brill’s twitter feed 113 people = 226 meals donated to @YSM_TO #YongeStreetMission (this, later updated to 135 people = 270 meals).
